From now until December 31, 2011, for every piece of jewelry you purchase from parker+paige, one brand new item will be given to a student at the Kiberia School for Girls in Kenya. This pledge is in accordance with parker+paige’s initial one for one pledge since the company’s inception, that for every purchase made, parker+paige will give one brand new (matching) item to a child in need.
The deal was brokered between the company’s founders: Paige Lemann of parker+paige, and Heather Korn of BelleStyle. The two first met while appearing on KPLR News Channel 11 together for their participation in Pink Friday a pop-up shop held in St. Louis, MO on Black Friday 2010.Limited amounts of certain items may occur for one-of-a-kind pieces, but inventory will be updated throughout the year with new pieces every season.
In addition, parker+paige’s Founder, Paige Lemann, is now a part of the BelleStyle team, working as their East Coast Wholesales Sales Representative. This latest addition to the parker+paige team of emerging fashion designers signifies a real transition for parker+paige as a company from online retailer specializing in emerging fashion designers, to a fashion company that advances the careers of emerging designers through wholesale representation, retail sales, and public relations.
This will be the 2nd accessories line for parker+paige, who first introduced accessories with the addition of Marla Cielo handbags in March 2011.
